Dipolog City (30 October) -- The City of Dipolog recently added another feather to its cap as the 2009 provincial "One Town, One Product" (OTOP) nominees from here were all adjudged regional winners.

"Our nominees bested other contenders from the different parts of the region," reported the provincial office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The awards won were "Best OTOP Implementer, Outstanding OTOP Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) and Most Supportive OTOP Partner-agency.

Best OTOP implementer award was received by City Mayor Evelyn T. Uy. The outstanding OTOP SME award went to Montano Foods Corp. (MFC)whose main product is the bottled Spanish sardines and the most supportive partner-agency award was given to the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) through Provincial Officer Joseph C. Florig.
Both the city government of Dipolog and MFC were given trophies and P45,000.00 each as prizes. The BFAR also received a trophy and P30,000.00. (PIA-ZN)
