Red Cross conducts Provincial Training of Trainers
The 3-day training is conducted all over the country which aims to organize and equip a humanitarian preparedness team that can respond quickly in case an influenza pandemic will occur such as swine flu (AH1N1), and let the general public know what should be done.

    About 40 persons participated in the said training, including City Information Officer Roberto N. Pinsoy, and selected delegates from six municipalities of Zamboanga del Norte who represented the City Disaster Coordinating Council (CDCC), Rural Health Units, Non-Government Organizations and some Red Cross Volunteers.

    The organizers of the said program led by Joshua Amado Bicoy, the current administrator of the Red Cross local chapter hope that the participants will learn the proper procedures and simple steps of what should be done in each household to prevent such diseases and to know the different kinds of herbal medicines to be used as remedies in case there is a flu pandemic in their localities.    

    Mayor Evelyn T. Uy, whose administration has given its full support to the Red Cross and all its endeavors that promotes the welfare of the people of Dipolog City, is the guest of honor of the event.

AIP & 20% DEVELOPMENT PLAN BUDGET ALLOCATION INCREASED

The City Development Council (CDC) during its meeting held last August 5, 2010, has earmarked an estimated ten percent (10%) budget increase in its annual investment plan (AIP), and twenty point seventy eight percent (20.78%) increase for the 20% Development Plan for the budget year 2011.
