City’s Bureau Of Fire Protection Planted 300 Narra Seedlings
More than 300 Narra seedlings were successfully planted by the personnel of the Dipolog City Bureau of Fire Protection. The said activity dubbed as “A DATE WITH MOTHER NATURE” took place last February 14, this year at Cogon-Diwan Road, this city.
It was learned further that the said tree planting activity was headed by our City Fire Marshall, FS/Insptr. Richard A. Timosa, in coordination with the Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (City CENRO), thru City CENRO, Mr. Rodney Benedicto, who provided the seedlings planted.
Aside from the City’s Bureau of Fire Protection, students from three different colleges here in the city also joined the activity namely: Saint Vincent’s College, Andres Bonifacio College and Jose Rizal Memorial State University – Dipolog Campus.
As further disclosed, it was learned that this tree planting activity was already in its 3rd year, as their commitment supporting climate change, specifically against the occurence of soil erosions or landslides.
City CENRO Benedicto also on the other hand revealed that his office at present, has sufficient supply of narra seedlings, which is available anytime for the said purpose.( CIO-alb)
