CEASE OF BUSINESS OPERATION /CLOSURE OF BUSINESS
About the service
If the business will be terminated before the expiry date of the Permit, the owner will submit audited financial statement from January to the date it will intend to stop and letter addressed to the Honorable City Mayor informing the reason of closure. These are required in order to update proper recording and to avoid accumulation in tax payments and penalties.

About the service
Prior to conduct the above activities, a permit should be secured/required to ensure proper coordination and orderly traffic management during the activity.

Note: Civic, religious procession, school activities and some other related activities whose purpose is not for fund raising or promotion, advertising of products/company are exempted to pay permit fee.

Before transporting goods outside the city territory, the owner of goods are required to secure transport permit.

SECURING PERMIT ON BILLBOARDS OR ADVERTISEMENTS
About the service
Businessmen, group of companies and other entities desiring to display signs, billboards, signboards, advertisements, streamers, posters, flyers and other similar materials shall first obtained a Mayor’s Permit before the installation of the advertisements, signboards and billboards. It must be renewed yearly from January 1 to 20.
Fees: Refer Amended Tax Ordinance.
Requirements
– Letter request addressed to the City Mayor, Attn. Engr. Gaudencio Bagolboc, Chief OBO stating therein the size, duration, location of streamers, flyers, posters. For billboards, requires submission of lay-out plans, description of the advertisements, electrical and other requirements which the OBO will demand.
– Office of the Building Official will process sign permit with corresponding installation fees based on the National Law of the Building Code. Upon payment at the City Treasurer’s Office, the advertisement fee will be collected at the same time with the installation fee, based on the City Tax Ordinance.

Motorized Tricycle Operator’s Permit (MTOP) must be renewed based of the renewal of motorcycle plate number at LTO.

SECURING PEDICAB (TRI-SICAD) PERMIT
TO OPERATE AND PERMIT TO DRIVE
About the service
Under existing laws of the City of Dipolog, Operator’s of Pedicab (Tri-sicad) are required to secure Permit to Operate and a Registration Certificate is issued before they are allowed to operate their business. Pedicab Drivers are not allowed to drive the said Pedicab without first obtaining a Pedicab Driver’s Permit. Mayor’s Permit are renewed from January 2 to 20 every year.

ONE-STOP-SHOP (JANUARY 1 – 20)
About the service
One-Stop-Shop is a service every January 1 – 20, to ensure convenient to businessmen for renewing / securing their Business Permits. Different departments involved in the licensing process are brought in one place here at the main lobby of the City Hall. The following clearances obtained at the one-stop-shop which are the requirements in the issuance of Business Permits, viz:
Certificate of Annual Inspection / OBO and Zoning;
- Bureau of Fire and Protection;
- Health and Sanitary Clearance; and
- Police Clearance.
